Our Almost Identical Budgies!

We have two budgies who are very similar looking, just that the colors on one of them is much more vibrant than the other! However for someone who sees them for the first time, they tend to look almost identical, and the way they copy each other doesn't help! See what I mean - the photographs will speak for themselves!

Here they are sitting together, and trying to copy one another!



A third one joins them to see what's going on!



The one on the left decides - ok, next we pretend to sleep ...



"What?! Why aren't you copying me?!" - says the budgie on the left, to the budgie on the right!



Budgie on the right - "Ok, fine! If it makes you happy, here I go!"

Baby Budgie 1 & 2!

Both our budgies are now out of the nest and are walking around, and flying a bit as well. Here are some photographs of the both of them, which were taken a few days after Baby No. 2 came out of the nest.

After days of putting it's head out and peeking out all shy and coy, our baby budgie has finally come out of it's nest!

Our Babies In Their Nests

Like I said earlier, our new babies have no clue what to do with their nests, and at night it's hilarious to see them stuff themselves into a single nest together! I kid you not - in one nest there are as many as four or five all huddled in there together!

Budgie Baby No. 2

Here's budgie baby number two, and in the last few photographs you can see the father trying to go into the nest. In the last photograph you can see mommy budgie already inside with the two babies. The second baby's taken after the father in coloring completely.

Our Budgie Couple

Here are the proud parents of the two budgie babies. As you can see, they're as much in love today as they were when they first paired up!

Vulture With Her Friends!

Little Vulture!

We've affectionately named this little guy Vulture for now, as it's got a lot of feathers plucked from it's neck, giving it a vulture like appearance!

One Of Our White Babies

Here's one of our white babies, and you can see it's got a little bald spot on it's head from where the feathers have been pulled out.

Our Baby Budgie!

We have two baby budgies in the nest right now, and one of them is almost ready to come out! He keeps sticking his head out, and looking at the world outside.

In the last photograph if you look very carefully, you will see three heads ... the mother, and both the babies.
